If we go to on the right hand side where the announcments are it states that 1.17 is the current release of this software and links to When setup finished no new QuickLaunch icons are visible so it apears to have placed them in the wrong place for vista.
Second attempt was performed using Run as Administrator context menu option and setup went smoothly with the freeware downloader option selected, no desktop icons and quicklaunch bar icon enabled. Vista then had to do a file system integrigty check and repair indicies etc and revert system to prior state to the install attempt.
OK just installed this under Vista Premium, following readme.txt instructions to the letter, setup.exe hung towards the end requiring a hard shut down to get out of it.
